I'm Mike. I've worked in heating and cooling since 1993. I built this site because homeowners shouldn't have to make a five-figure decision while translating a sales pitch.

I started at 17, sweeping my uncle's shop and handing him fittings. Thirty-plus years later I've done most jobs this trade can hand you: 2 a.m. service calls, August attic installs and more kitchen-table estimates than I could ever count.

Somewhere along the way I realized the thing that bothered me most wasn't bad equipment. It was good people trying to choose between expensive quotes with no useful frame of reference—buying oversized systems, paying for a famous truck wrap or signing the first number because the house was hot.

That's why the guides here are written plain. No jargon as camouflage. No single answer pretending to fit every house.

What Nation Air Con actually does

1. We publish practical homeowner guides. They explain typical costs, tradeoffs and the questions worth asking before you hire.
2. We connect homeowners with local installers. When you request quotes, partner networks match your job with independent licensed contractors who serve your area.

The matching service is free to homeowners. Contractor networks may pay us for an introduction. That is the business model, and it's explained in our advertising disclosure. Contractors are independent; you should still verify licensing and insurance, read the scope and compare more than one quote.

What I believe about this trade

• The quote visit is the audition. A contractor who measures carefully usually installs carefully.
• Nobody should buy a $10,000 system from one number.
• The right system is sized for your house—not the biggest or fanciest cabinet available.
• A plain explanation is part of the job.
• Cheap and rushed is how you buy the same installation twice.

How the guides are maintained

I write from field experience, and the site checks time-sensitive claims—tax credits, public rebate programs and efficiency rules—against primary sources before updates.
